Kazakh Agriculture Ministry is planning to collect over 350,000 tons of apples in 2024.

The Agriculture Ministry from Kazakhstan sees the potential for the growth of farming for fruit Minister Yerbol Karashukeyev says. In his address to the attendees of the hour of the government in the Majilis on Monday Minister Karashukeyev stated that the investments in the cultivation of fruit, like apples, are already paying for themselves.

Through investment into this sector beginning in 2014, as per Karashukeyev The total amount of apple orchards increased from 21,700 ha up to 28900 ha. In addition, the harvest of apples is more than doubled between 92,000 and 205,000 tons of apple. According to Karashukeyev it is anticipated that the crop of apples is expected to reach 352,000 tonnes in 2024, which will be enough to meet the demand of Kazakhstan’s national market.
