Georgia increases apple exports by 30% in 2025/26 season

Georgia exported 23,600 tonnes of apples worth $17.4 million between 1 August 2025 and 31 May 2026. Compared with the same period of the previous season, export volume increased by 30%, or 5,500 tonnes, while export value rose by 53%, or $6 million.

The average export price reached $0.74/kg, 17% higher than a year earlier. According to official data, the increase in exports was linked to improved crop quality.

Russia remained the main destination for Georgian apples, receiving 22,197 tonnes during the period. Other export destinations included Turkey with 1,037 tonnes, Belarus with 170 tonnes, Armenia with 127 tonnes and other countries with a combined 65 tonnes.
