European sales increase
The Europe zone, accounting for 65.9 per cent of group activity, generated revenue of €346.1 million, compared with €325.6 million a year earlier. Sales increased by 6.3 per cent on a reported basis and 6.4 per cent on a like-for-like basis.

Growth was supported by demand for prepared meal solutions in the fresh prepared and frozen categories, alongside a return to normal trading conditions for private-label products.

Outside Europe, revenue declined to €178.7 million from €194.2 million, representing a decrease of 8.0 per cent on a reported basis and 9.4 per cent on a like-for-like basis.

Bonduelle attributed the decline to the effects of a Cyclospora outbreak in the United States. Although the outbreak did not involve Bonduelle products, it affected consumer confidence across the salad category and weighed on the U.S. market.
