US: GetGo sells four stores at $19.5mln

GetGo Cafe + Market c-store division of the supermarket chain Giant Eagle, has sold four of its stores in Indianapolis the city, a spokesperson from Giant Eagle said via email. The store was transferred for $19.5mln in cash to Darshan Darar, an independent retailer that owns around 20 fueling and c-store locations located in Indianapolis, Pat Rooney, the lawyer who represented the purchaser, told during an interview. Darar bought the GetGo stores under four distinct companies, Rooney said. GetGo is not planning to shut down any of the GetGo establishments in Indiana in which it currently manages 58 stores, nine of them situated in Indianapolis according to the spokesperson.
