The very first Fruit Attraction Sao Paulo held in Brazil which ended on the last day and is being described as a huge success by the participants who claim to have managed to “meet various people, forged new alliances, revived new customers and increased significant partnerships and also made new colleagues from the field.”
The Grapa team was at the exhibition in Brazil.
It was not just a showcase for the enormous fresh produce industry of Brazil but also visitors from other parts of South America, Europe, the Middle East and other parts of the globe. It was held in Sao Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. Sao Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center starting on Tuesday 16 April through Thursday 18 April 2024.
Sergio Negrao, CEO and one of the founding members of Brazilian Lime exporter Jagrao : “The fair, despite being small, was extremely busy. I believe that for the first time, it’s been a great big success.”
An mango exporter and producer said, “Overall it’s exceeding expectations. The fair was well-loved by importers even though it was the first time it’s been held in Brazil It will definitely grow stronger, in the case of exporters are concerned, we’re in good shape because we’ve got lots of goods and we are having as the most fun we can have to allow the world to come and experience the exotic flavors and review our services.”
IFEMA Madrid organized the exhibition with the help of the Brazilian Association of Fruit and Derivatives Exporters (Abrafrutas). The opening remarks of the President of Abrafrutas, Guilherme Coelho, stressed the wide variety of fruit made and exported by Brazil. “It is exciting to observe the importance given to the Brazilian fruit industry and its recognition of its significance both globally and locally. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to communicate to our partners, bargain as well as exchange information and help assist in the growth and expansion of agriculture within our nation. Let’s take advantage of this amazing opportunity and establish new partnerships in order to improve the performance of the sector that produces fruit throughout Brazil!.”
Ing. Mercedes Auris, owner of Los Vinedos Nursery in Peru was also a part of the fair in Brazil. “We are thrilled to be a part at this wonderful fair in which we are looking at new opportunities and possibilities for our Peruvian agricultural sector. We thank the whole team for the invitation!”
Cassiano Berol who works for Agricola Plantar, Brazilian exporter Agricola Plantar, says they observed Brazilian producers from various states in Brazil which include, Bahia, Rio Grande do Norte, Sao Paulo, Para, Espirito Santo and many more. “Brazil is home to a huge array of areas that we could produce mangoes, limes and sweet potato, ginger, the figs Atemoyas tropical avocados papayas, guavas, and more. We’ve met very experienced manufacturers, knowledgeable importers and exporters of Europe, USA, Middle East and Middle East, among others. We’ve met a variety of prospective producers as well as customers who are looking for the products Brazil provides. The challenge for us is connecting the most reliable and trustworthy producers to reliable importers. In this manner, the business is never in trouble. We are planning to begin the process of separating ginger and lime from sweet potato around 2024.”
“In contrast with Berlin Fruit Logistica and Madrid Fruit Attraction Naturally, the size was less, however I felt it was a great starting point for the inaugural edition, for sure. This was a great experience for us, and we’ll definitely return the next time!” concludes Berol.
