Belarus takes 84% of Poland’s non-EU pear exports

Poland exported 1,675 tons of pears to Belarus in September 2026, accounting for around 84% of the country’s pear shipments to markets outside the European Union, according to data from Poland’s State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service.

Total Polish pear exports to non-EU destinations reached 2,002 tons during the month. Other destinations included Kazakhstan with 156 tons, Ukraine with 149 tons, Libya with 20 tons, Mongolia with 1.5 tons, and Norway with 130 kg.

Non-EU exports were approximately 19% lower than in September 2025, when Poland shipped 2,485 tons. September exports reached 3,058 tons in 2024 and 5,606 tons in 2023.
Data for Poland’s total pear exports, including intra-EU trade, are not yet available for September 2026. In September 2025, total exports amounted to 5,466 tons, compared with 8,200 tons in 2024 and 10,499 tons in 2022.

Belarus remains Poland’s largest pear buyer. Growth in the Polish pear crop could support exports to additional markets, although Belarus is expected to remain an important destination.
