Avocados Australia’s Regional Forum to boost avocado exports

In the financial year 2022-23, Australian avocado growers/exporters exported 10,736 tonnes of fresh avocados for export to markets in the world. Avocados Australia is working on growing that number year on year. To achieve this goal, they have launched an array of initiatives aimed towards enhancing the company’s export capabilities. One of them are an initiative called the Export Regional Forum Series that has been launching forums across Australia within the major avocado-growing regions. The next event is scheduled to be held in Bundaberg.

Avocados Australia’s “Central Queensland avocado export regional forum” is scheduled for 17 August, on the 18th of August in the Brothers Sports Club (130 Takalvan Street, Kensington) and all growers, exporters and packers are welcome to join. The event is free and will give pertinent export-related information for growers/exporters. This includes the steps to be taken to export Hass avocados into India.

The Regional Forum for CQ’s Avocado Export is scheduled to begin at 9.00am and conclude by 1.00pm. Participants who are interested can reserve an appointment now by signing up on the following page.

The Avocados Australia Export Regional Forum Series has started in 2021 and additional forums are scheduled for 2023. The forum has played crucial roles in assisting Avocados Australia to engage directly with the major players who export avocados, and those interested in the industry are invited to participate. According to the Australian Avocado crop prediction suggests that the production of Australia will be 170,000 tonnes by 2026. As markets such as India being open to Australia’s Hass avocado farmers, a portion of this production will be available into markets in the world.
