Australians stunned as the price of avocados fall to only 9 cents

In Brisbane in the city, avocado prices have dropped to just 9 cents per ounce since Australia is experiencing a rapid increase in the production. Avocados Australia said that even though prices of avocados is affected by a variety of variables, such as the quality of the product, its packaging type size, quantity, as well as demand primary problem an extremely large quantity of avocados.

From 2021 until 2022 fiscal year, the nation produced more than 122,197 tonnes of avocados. That is 56 per cent higher than in the year prior. Queensland was the biggest producer with 48 percent of the production. Western Australia came in second with 39 percent.

As we look to the future, avocados will be set to break production records, with this country set to yield about 170,000 tons annually until 2026. This is an 128 percent increase over the figure above.
