Wanding Port, located on the China-Myanmar border in Yunnan, is currently witnessing a sharp surge in mango imports from Myanmar. Trucks carrying Sandelong mangoes are arriving daily, entering the customs supervision area before heading to major Chinese cities such as Kunming, Chengdu, and Chongqing, as reported by Guojiguoshu.
According to local trade officials, May through July marks the peak season for Sandelong mangoes, and demand is outpacing supply. On average, the port is handling 300 tons of mango imports per day, underscoring the popularity and growing market for these tropical fruits.
Wanding Customs reported that between April 25 and June 30, a total of 3,882.5 tons of Myanmar mangoes had passed through customs, marking a significant year-on-year increase. This seasonal boost is contributing to vibrant cross-border trade and strengthening the role of Wanding Port as a key gateway for fresh produce between Myanmar and China.
