From 30 September to 2 October, Fruit Attraction will hold its 17th edition, organised by IFEMA Madrid and FEPEX, with Andalusia as the main sponsor. The fair will host 2,460 exhibitors from 64 countries, an 8.4% increase compared to 2024. The event will occupy more than 78,000 square metres, 10% more than last year, and is expected to attract over 120,000 professionals from 150 countries.
Event scale and organisation
Fruit Attraction 2025 will use 10 halls at IFEMA Madrid (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 14). Halls are divided by region and sector. The Fresh Produce Area will represent around 70% of the fair, while the Auxiliary Industry section and the Fresh Food Logistics area will highlight cold chain solutions and transport. The Innova&Tech area, including Biotech Attraction and Smart Agro, will expand by 31% from 2024, emphasising innovation and research in the industry.

Out of the 2,460 exhibitors, 323 are new participants. Domestic companies represent 52% of the fair, with all Spanish producing regions present. International participation continues to grow, reaching 47% of the total space, with 1,418 companies. Fourteen new countries will be represented, including Algeria, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Georgia, Hungary, Malta, Jordan, Mauritius, Senegal, Serbia, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.
International buyers and trade focus
IFEMA Madrid, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, ICEX, and FEPEX, will host the International Buyers Programme, which invites nearly 700 buyers from 67 countries. These include retail managers, importers, and wholesalers.
Malaysia and Mexico are the designated Guest Importing Countries for 2025, with activities including round tables, guided tours, and B2B sessions. Tomatoes are the featured product this year, with a programme highlighting their nutritional role, trade relevance, and economic value.
A new addition is the Organic Hub Tour, a signposted route to showcase companies with certified organic products.
Programme and activities
Fruit Attraction 2025 will include conferences and forums under the Fruit Forum by Timac Agro, such as Grape Attraction, Biotech Attraction, and the Biofruit Congress. Fresh Food Logistics The Summit and other talks will also take place.
Factoría Chef, sponsored by #alimentosdespaña, will stage cooking demonstrations to highlight fruit and vegetable use in gastronomy.
The Innovation Hub will present 50 new products and developments in the industry. The Innovation Hub Awards will again take place, alongside the Best Stand Awards, which recognise exhibition spaces in categories such as design, sustainability, and originality. The 15th APAE Journalism Awards and the Fruit Attraction Awards will also be presented.
Official opening
The fair will open with a ceremony led by Luis Planas, Spain’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. This edition is sponsored by Andalusia, with additional partnerships including the Region of Murcia, Veganic Nature, Agrobank, Timac Agro, Únikas, and MSC.
