Asia Fruit Logistica hosts Thailand trade event

Asia Fruit Logistica has announced a strong line-up of expert speakers for its Thailand Meet Up, set to take place on 25 June 2025 at the Carlton Hotel Sukhumvit in Bangkok. The event brings together fresh produce professionals from across the ASEAN region and beyond for a full day of knowledge sharing and networking, with a focus on the fast-growing South-East Asian markets.

The content programme is curated by Asiafruit Magazine, Asia Fruit Logistica’s knowledge partner, and will explore emerging trade and consumer trends in South-East Asia, China’s growing influence as a supplier to the region, and the future of Asia’s booming durian business.

Carlo Magni, global consumer insights director at consultancy Forward Insight & Strategy, will present the latest consumer trends in the region’s diverse and dynamic fresh produce markets. He will offer insights into shopper behaviour and strategies for marketers to maximise these opportunities.

Andy Suh, senior director (Rest of Asia) at Driscoll’s, and Vincent Yeh, CEO of Xingyeyuan Group’s international business arm, Xingyeyuan Supply Chain, will share perspectives on China’s expanding role as a fresh produce supplier to Southeast Asia. Suh will discuss China’s emergence as a prominent exporter of high-quality berries and its category expansion beyond blueberries. Yeh will examine the premiumisation of Chinese production and the rise of high-value products that are boosting export momentum and brand development.

A session dedicated to the durian boom in Asia will feature John Cao, project manager at Joy Wing Mau for Joyvio Durian, discussing key trends in China’s durian market from a buyer’s viewpoint. The panel will also include leading exporters from South-East Asia: Natakrit Eamskul, CEO of Platinum Fruits (Thailand), and Dr Tan Sue Yee, CEO of Top Fruits (Malaysia), who will share insights into the evolving trade dynamics and outlook.

Edgar Alastrué, Thailand sales director for Fresh Fruit-X, will provide a closer look at retail and trade trends in Thailand’s produce sector.

The event will also feature ‘Showcase Spotlights’, where top brands and suppliers introduce innovative products for the ASEAN market.

Asia Fruit Logistica Thailand Meet Up offers extensive networking opportunities in a relaxed setting, including a business networking lunch, two breaks, and an evening cocktail reception.

On 26 June, delegates can join an optional study tour to Talaad Thai Wholesale Market—the largest agricultural wholesale market in South-East Asia—and visit the facilities of City Fresh Fruit, a major Thai importer-distributor.

Attendance is free for fresh produce professionals. Online RSVP is now open. For more information, visit the Asia Fruit Logistica website.
