Omni Xtra(r)+ Omni Xtra(r)+, Berry Global’s top-performing PE Cling film, is the main highlight of its display at the upcoming Marca by BolognaFiere Private Label Conference and Exhibition scheduled to take place at Bologna, Italy on 16 and 17 January 2024.

Perfect for all kinds of fresh food items, like vegetable and fruit as well as poultry and meat, bakery and deli products with the latest Omni Xtra+ film offers enhanced elasticity, uniform stretching as well as a higher level of resilience to impact when compared with its earlier versions. This improved mechanical property has made it possible to create of a lighter overall film compared to traditional PVC alternatives, resulting in the weight down by more than 25% over PVC and still maintaining the highest quality and strength. It also has excellent puncture resistance.

Additionally, due to its light mass, Omni Xtra+ is also recyclable in areas where there are PE film collections and in compliance with the current European recycling standards with certifications of its recyclability and compatibility by RecyClass and Interseroh two of the major industrial companies that are working towards circular plastics.

In addition, the advanced manufacturing technology has resulted in an extremely clear film than conventional PE cling film, with excellent anti-fog and condensation qualities and are comparable with PVC. The result is that the product can display to the best of their potential at the retail counters.

Omni Xtra+ also offers the ability to machine and has an elastic and high retention capacity which provide a solid seal for a tightly sealed packing and a great product fixing. Its ease of handling permits high-throughput on automated packing machines.

Berry states that this new film offers a superior choice to the difficult-to-recycle PVC films that are used by private label companies, delivering the ability to be used with clarity and usability while also reducing packing weights to increase production and providing high-quality product protection, and the best shelf sales.
